Basic information on depression
Depression is an emotional state which is accompanied by feelings of sadness, dejection, hopelessness or emptiness. Individuals with depression also often feel lacking in energy, and may struggle to get through their day-to-day tasks. While everyone feels down from time to time, depression lasts for a longer time (more than a few weeks), and can disrupt daily activities at work, school or in social relationships. Read more

Therapy for depression
As a psychologist, my therapy approach in working with depression focuses on understanding the roots of the depression. My clients also have the opportunity to talk through their experiences, and share these in a safe, confidential and neutral environment. It is also common to discuss ways of managing day-to-day symptoms and other problems that may be present.
